Introduction and Christmas Season Carpet Installation

Hey guys and gals. Jeff Dean, Owner of Dover Floor Covering here and this is my very first article and my very first blog.
So you wanna get new flooring before the holidays eh? October, November and the first part of December are normally the busiest time of the year for all floor covering companies. If you are thinking of buying new flooring at this time of year you must start earlier than usual. In most cases you should expect to wait approximately 2 to 3 weeks from the time that you first settle on your choice of flooring until installation.
Also, keep in mind that when installing new carpet, that the floor will ultimately need to be completely clear of all furniture. During the Christmas season that can present a unique problem in that people that celebrate Christmas will have a Christmas tree standing in the living room (or any other room in the house for that matter).
People will assume that once they have put up their Christmas tree that they can no longer put in new carpet. That is simply not true. Of course, putting in new carpet in a room that has a Christmas tree can be problematic, it can be done. We have moved Christmas trees before on occasion (with nary a broken bulb. Can the Grinch say the same thing I wonder?  Hmmm.....).
Seriously tho, if the consumer can wait until the new carpet is installed before putting up their Christmas tree that would be the best solution but we can install new carpet after the tree is up for the last minute customer that decides that they really don't want Aunt Mable seeing their old, stained carpet.
